Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- As USC prepares to face Ole Miss in the opening round of the SEC Tournament, senior Sam Muldrow hopes that won't be his last game in garnet.
The senior, who was named the league's defensive player of the year, will leave as the program's all-time leader in blocked shots.
But USC head coach Darrin Horn says Muldrow's value goes beyond playing good defense and providing some points in the paint or the permeter.
Horn says Muldrow has become more vocal this year out of necessity because of all of the freshmen and sophomores on the squad. Muldrow isn't known as a loud booming presence in the past but being a senior has forced him to redefine his role in the lockerroom.
It's a role Muldrow hopes won't end Thursday.
