Jadeveon Clowney Named Top Defensive End in Nation

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC sophomore defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, was named the winner of the 2012 Ted Hendricks Award.

The award is given to the nation's top defensive end. It's the first time in history that a sophomore was honored. This is the 11th year of the award.

Clowney set school records in sacks (13), tackles for loss (21.5) and sacks in a single game (4.5 vs Clemson) this season.

Clowney earned almost two-thirds of the votes beating out Morgan Breslin of Southern Cal, Sam Montgomery of LSU and Damontre Moore from Texas A&M.
