Hartsville's Jaylen Shaw scored 35 points in the 3A state championship game vs Eastside. The Red Foxes won in overtime, their second straight state title
(WLTX) --- Hartsville's Jaylen Shaw is officially a member of Frank Martin's second recruiting class at USC.
Shaw signed with USC Friday, giving Martin eight newcomers to this year's team.
Shaw helped lead Hartsville to back-to-back state championships. In March, Shaw scored 35 points in the overtime win over Eastside, which gave Hartsville its second straight title.
On the season, Shaw averaged 23 points, seven assists and eight rebounds per game.
"We're excited about Jaylen Shaw," said Martin.
"The young man is an ultimate competitor. He's proven that he's a winner by getting back-to-back state championships. We are excited about the athleticism and skill that he brings to our team."
