Columbia, S.C. - USC second baseman Max Schrock earned second-team Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America.

Schrock hit .282 (64-for-227) for the season with six homers and 39 RBI.  He tied for the team lead with 21 multi-hit games and led the Gamecocks with 14 stolen bases.

Schrock also received Freshman All-America accolades from the NCBWA.  Schrock is one of two Gamecock freshmen to pick up Freshman All-America honors.  Left-hander Jack Wynkoop (7-3, 3.09 ERA) was honored by Collegiate Baseball in June.
