(WLTX) -- Every month News19 shares with you a story that we hope will remind you of the importance of performing your self breast exam.
Lovetta Williams has a life worth celebrating after beating breast cancer not once, but twice.
Williams tells us "From the time I detected it in January, to the time I had the surgery, I could tell that it had really grown, and that's what scared me, Williams said. "'This was really dangerous Lovetta, you have really messed up this time,'" she said to herself.
"Don't ever assume that you know what's going on... Go have the mammogram, have the ultrasound, and know positively what you're dealing with."
"And then be ready to be real aggressive."
Lovetta Williams' beat it twice, and her voice is louder as a champion for a cure for breast cancer.
