What You'll Need:
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 cup pitted ripe olives, halved
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup coarsely chopped basil leaves
1 pound spaghetti, cooked according to package directions
What To Do:
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil; add onion and garlic and saute 3 to 5 minutes, or until softened.
2. Stir in crushed tomatoes, olives, salt, and pepper; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and chicken broth; cook 10 additional minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in basil and serve over spaghetti.
