Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Video was released late Monday afternoon which shows a bank ATM being stolen with a forklift.
Sunday, at least two suspects used a stolen forklift to rip the machine off the ground from the First National Bank of the South on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington.
Officers say it took just 45 seconds to make off with a bank ATM. The thieves removed it with a stolen forklift, then load it into the bed of a Dodge Ram pickup--a vehicle which investigators say was also stolen.
Investigators say pickup used in the robbery has been found, with the ATM in the bed. The ATM was cut open and the money is all gone. Police have not said how much cash may have been inside.
Officers are also investigating a possible connection to other robberies around the state.
