Columbia, SC (WLTX)--Richland County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the burglary of a business that installs commercial fire, security, and communications systems.
Crews responded to a burglary call at Tri Tek Fire and Security about 6 a.m. on Sunday April 29, 2012. The business is located along Woodcross Drive in Columbia. That's near Piney Grove Road. When a worker at the business returned to work the next day, she noticed the front door to a shed had been broken into. Two blowers, two weed eaters and a hedge trimmer are among the items stolen. Collectively, they are valued at about $800.00.
Investigators are looking for a light colored pick up truck, possibly a Chevy Silverado, which was captured by surveillance cameras near the shed. Anyone with information about who the truck belongs to, or who is responsible for the thefts is asked to call Crimestoppers. That number is 888-CRIME-SC.
