Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia Police say they may have identified the gunmen who were involved in a shooting in Five Points early Saturday morning.
Police say shortly after 2am, shots were fired on the 2000 block of Greene Street.
Officials say that because of recent shootings in the area, close to twenty officers were patrolling Five Points during this time and were able to respond quickly. No one was injured.
According to investigators, after reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, they may have identified those involved in the incident. No arrests have been made yet.
"I will continue to add resources and whatever is necessary to keep Five Points' merchants and patrons safe. Officers are on high alert throughout the City," Chief Scott says. "The Columbia Police Department will not tolerate the criminal element in the City. Cameras are everywhere. Police are on foot and mobile patrol.
