Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies say a homeowner and another man held a gun on two burglary suspects until law enforcement could arrest the pair.

The incident took place Monday at a home near Batesburg-Leesville.

According to deputies, 18-year-old Christopher Alan Morgan and 26-year-old James William Whitten broke into a garage at the home between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Officers say the men had a knife and a hammer.

Investigators believe the men were there to steal an air compressor and bits for a drill.

The owner of the home and another man, however, found the pair before they left the property, deputies say. Officers say the men held the two at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

All the stolen property was recovered.

Morgan and Witten are charged with second-degree burglary.
