Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies have arrested a group of suspects they say stole $400,000 in merchandise from Verizon stores throughout the Midlands.
Officers charged 23-year-old Karen Moody, 40-year-old Rodney Robinson, and two juveniles with burglary and larceny.
On Monday, Camden Police say the suspects were arrested after breaking into the Verizon Store on West DeKalb Street.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says after the two were taken into custody, they were linked to other burglaries at Verizon stores in Richland County, Columbia, Forest Acres, Lexington County, Orangeburg County, and Aiken County that had taken place since the start of the year. Officers say the suspects would take the stole items and sell them on Craigslist.
Investigators say they've been able to recover about $200,000 in stolen property. They say some of those items were found at Moody's home in Columbia.
Moody and Robinson were taken to the Richland County Detention Center, while the juveniles are at the Department of Juvenile Justice.
