Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Columbia Police Department is searching for two men who may have played a role in a January 9th assault in Columbia's Five Points.

Police say the incident occurred on January 9, 2014 shortly after 2:30 a.m. at the 2100 block of Devine Street, where a victim says someone punched him several times in his head and body.

Investigators believe the taller man with dread locks, who was seen wearing a black toboggan, black 'bubble' vest with a red and white plaid long-sleeved shirt, is the alleged aggressor in the case.

Investigators also believe that the shorter male, wearing red pants, a black leather jacket, and a baseball cap at the time of the incident may be able to assist in the case.

Investigators say that the victim was trying to calm down a heated conversation between the alleged aggressor and a male standing outside a store.
