CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Chefs from 10 South Carolina hospitals and their teams are scheduled to compete in a culinary competition.
The Cooking Well Invitational on Friday at Trident Technical College in Charleston is designed to emphasize ways to cook healthy and affordable meals.
Celebrity chef Robert Irvine of the television show "Restaurant Impossible" is the host for the event.
Professional chefs will judge the dishes made on site.
The teams competing include Baptist Easley Hospital, Beaufort Memorial, Georgetown Hospital System and the Laurens County Health Care System.
The others are Oconee Medical Center, Palmetto Health, Piedmont Medical Center, Providence Hospital, Providence Hospital Northeast and the Medical University of South Carolina.
