Teacher Accused of Sending Obscene Texts, Photos to Students

Greenville, SC (WLTX) -- A former high school teacher in Greenville is facing charges for sending obscene text messages and photos to two students, that according to the Greenville County School District, and arrest warrants.

As reported by Greenville Online, 40 year old Michelle Stabach Jensen was charged with two counts of disseminating obscene or unlawful material to a minor, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. 

According to the Greenville County Detention Center's website, Jensen is also facing one charge of sexual battery of a 16-17 year old. 

School district spokesman Oby Lyles told Greenville Online that Jensen resigned after being questioned by the principal on Friday, Nov. 9th. 

According to Lyles, Jensen was in her first year of teaching with Greenville County Schools, and became a full time teacher mid-October after starting as a substitute in August.

The spokesman told Greenville Online that the principal became aware of the "...sexually explicit text messages and photos" after a teacher overheard students talking about it. 

Jensen is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing, according to the newspaper's report.
