Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Week One of the annual Stuff a Bus campaign is complete, and it was another success!

Starting at 5 a.m. Friday, people were able to donate toys to families in need. We were out at the Walmart at Forest Drive in Columbia, the Walmart on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, and the Walmart in Lexington.

Hundreds of people showed up to help fill buses donated by the CMRTA. Items collected will be given to the Salvation Army, who will distribute them to families who signed up for holiday assistance.

For week two, we'll be out at the Walmart in Sumter, the Walmart on Two Notch Road in Richland County, and the Walmart in Harbison. You can donate from 5 in the morning until 7:30 at night.

You don't even have to get out of your car to donate: just pull into the parking lot and our little elves will come and collect your donation. And of course, everything that's donated stays right here in the Midlands.
