Program Aims to Boost Literacy through Donated Books

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- During the month of February, the Leadership Columbia class of 2013 is collecting books for the United Way of the Midlands Reading Consortium.

The program is a volunteer tutoring initiative targeting pre-K through 3rd grade students to help boost literacy.  All donated books will be distributed to twelve elementary schools in Richland and Lexington.
