Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A man charged in connection with the killings of two people in Irmo's Ascot Subdivision has been indicted on a federal gambling charge.

A grand jury in Columbia handed down the indictment against 42-year-old Brett Parker on one count of conduct with an illegal gambling business.

Also charged were Brett Parker's father, 71-year-old Jack Winfred Parker, and 60-year-old Douglas E. Taylor.

Last April, Parker's wife Tammy and 46-year-old Bryan Capnerhurst were found shot to death in the Parkers' home. After several months of investigation, officers charged Brett Parker with the killings.

Parker has yet to be tried in that case.

The defendants face a maximum of five years of prison on the gambling charges if convicted.
