Columbia, SC (WLTX)- A Richland County man pleads guilty to five counts of assault and battery in the first degree and to possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

While the jury deliberated, Michael Jonathan Taylor decides to change his plea to guilty.

Taylor was sentenced to prison for six years for each count of assault and battery first and three years for possesions with intent to distribute, all to run con-current.

Taylor was arrested in 2012 after Richland County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant on Bon Air Drive.

When the deputies entered the house, a shot was fired through the entryway.  Upon searching the house deputies found Taylor hanging upside down from the bathroom window, tangled in the curtains.

The search yielded two and one half ounces of marijuana,  digital scales, and baggies for packaging the marijuana.
