CASA,  Richland County's court appointed special advocate program marked their 30-years working to help protect Richland County's at risk children.

The group celebrated the milestone at a press conference and   recognized April as child abuse prevention month.

A pinwheel garden at the Judicial Center on Main street was created to honor the victims and bring awareness to child abuse prevention.

In Richland County more than a thousand children each year enter the child protection system after suffering abuse..

CASA has more than 400 volunteers who advocate for children who have been mistreated or abused.
