Columbia, SC (WLTX)- Friendly service and recycling go hand in hand at Rosewood Market.
"We've got a system in place where all of these items get sorted out and directed where they need to go," said Basil Garzia, Owner of Rosewood Market.
It is not just about recycling bottles and cardboard, they also recycle light bulbs and batteries.
"We divert as much as possible from the landfill," said Garzia. "Nearly 100% of our cardboard."
Local businesses also benefit from their recycling.
City roots, their urban farm neighbor, composts organic matter from the kitchen and produce departments.
Garzia says over a years time they recycle nearly 20 tons of cardboard.
