Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Three Midlands agencies are coming together to remind drivers of all ages about the dangers of texting and driving.
You will see new billboards placed around the county and city reminding drivers about the dangers. The billboards read "you text, you drive, you die."
The Richland County Sheriff's Department, Columbia Fire Department, and Richland County EMS partnership hopes to remind drivers that the one time they text in the car is the on time you could meet those three agencies.
It's estimated that 80 percent of all teen crashes involve texting and driving.
