Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Tuesday morning Fort Jackson, the U.S. Army's largest training post, welcomed a new commander.

Brigadier General Bradley Becker is the 46th Commanding General at the post. Becker, 49, has served in the army since 1986. He's done three tours in Iraq, and has also served overseas in Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm.

He is taking over command from interim commander Brig. Gen. Peggy Combs.  Combs was named interim commander earlier this summer after Brig. Gen. Bryan Roberts was relieved of command for misconduct. Roberts was suspended in May over charges of adultery and involvement in a physical altercation. He was removed after an investigation by the Army's Criminal Investigation Division.

Combs will now return to a position in Missouri.
