Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Some engineering students in Richland School District One will be judged on high standards, as Sailors from the U.S. Navy's Operation Support Center based here in Columbia will judge the events.

The competitive engineering competition will have high school students applying engineering approaches to the construction of many different items including the construction of a bridge, trebuchets, robots, and launching rockets.

The Sailors assigned as judges are volunteering their time to judge four events: two on February 14th, one on February 21st, and one on May 12th, all at either the Heyward Career and Technology center, or the Challenger Center, all located in Columbia.
