Columbia, SC (WLTX)- AllSouth Federal Credit union is warming consumers of a text message scam.

With this scam, consumers (members and non-members) may receive an SMS text message claiming to be from AllSouth that their account has been restricted or their account access limited.

Upon calling the number in the text message, the consumer is prompted to enter their debit/credit card number and/or other personal information such as their Social Security Number.

If you receive one of these texts, DO NOT respond to the text or call the number, but please notify the credit union by emailing security@allsouth.org

Some important things to remember:

1. AllSouth did NOT send this message and anyone who receives the message should not respond to it or call any of the numbers listed in it.
2. AllSouth has NOT been hacked and member data has NOT been compromised.
