Columbia, SC (WLTX) - USC running back Marcus Lattimore had successful surgery on his injured knee, athletics officials announced Friday.
According to officials, Lattimore had the surgery to repair a torn ligament on his knee Thursday.
He is expected to begin the normal rehab process over the next few days, the school says.
Lattimore injured the knee while blocking for a teammate during USC's 14-12 win over Mississippi State on Oct. 15.
When speaking to reporters earlier in the week, Lattimore said he would return as fast as he could and come back at "100 percent."
