Columbia, SC (WLTX) - It's was a perfect St. Patrick's Day Saturday, as high temperatures in the low 80s brought thousands of people to Columbia's Five Points for the annual Irish celebration.
It's all began Saturday morning with a race and the annual parade.
As the crowd swelled in the afternoon, people enjoyed the bands, food, and of course, beer.
"I liked seeing the dogs," said Emily Young, one young child who enjoyed the parade in the morning.
Many adults had a diffferent type of fun.
"It's a good time," said Micheal who was celebrating in Five Points for the first time.
"Warm weather and everyoneis having a good time out here and celebrating the holiday," said Matt as he walked around the crowds.
St. Patrick's Day is the largest annual event in Columbia, and is one of the largest St. Patrick's Day festivals in the Southeast.
