Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Governor Nikki Haley announced Wednesday that some business information was compromised in the Department of Revenue hacking case.

Haley said Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. will activate a website at 8 a.m.  Friday morning that businesses can visit to register for free monitoring service: www.dandb.com/sc, or by calling 800-279-9881, also available Friday.

Haley went on to say that potentially 657,000 businesses information may have been compromised in this hack.

She said the state will need to go to the Legislature to pay for Experien's $12 Million cost.

Haley also highlighted that if your business  paid their taxes to the SC Department Of Revenue with a check, your bank routing numbers and business information may have been compromised.

Unlike the January, 2013 deadline for residents to contact Experian, the Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp.  coverage for businesses has no registration deadline.
