Jordan Anderson, a native of Forest Acres, raced Saturday night in Myrtle Beach in a car sponsored by the Darlington Raceway
Myrtle Beach, SC (WLTX) --- Local race car driver Jordan Anderson spent his Saturday at the beach but it was a business trip and not a vacation.
Anderson competed in the Bash at the Beach 150 Saturday night at the Myrtle Beach Speedway where he finished fifth.
It was not hard to find Jordan's ride - the #2 Coulter Motorsports Super Late Model was sporting the colors of the Darlington Raceway and the Bojangles Southern 500.
Raceway president Chris Browning said he and his staff were looking for ways to promote upcoming Bojangles Southern 500 and teaming up with a Palmetto State driver was "a perfect fit."
Anderson, whose uniform was the familiar green of Forest Acres, says the first race he saw as a youngster was at the Darlington Raceway, so to carry the logos of the track and its title sponsor of the May Cup race was an honor.
