RALEIGH, N.C. (AP/WLTX) - A North Carolina political strategist who worked for high-profile Democratic candidates has died from stab wounds.
A spokesman for WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh said Wednesday morning that 29-year-old Jameson "Jamie" Kirk Hahn had died from her injuries.
Hahn and her 27-year-old husband Nation Hahn were stabbed at their home Monday night.
Nation Hahn was released after being treated for his injuries.
A friend of the couple, 31-year-old Jonathan Broyhill, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Broyhill also was charged With assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He also was injured and was being treated at the hospital.
Raleigh police continue to investigate the attack.
According to the Times And Democrat (http://bit.ly/17i2YT6,) the Hahns were married in 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Orangeburg, where Broyhill served as Nation Hahn's best man.
