Stride Rite Recalling Girl's Sandals

Washington, DC (WLTX)--Stride Rite is recalling 7,500 pairs of its "Joanna" girl's sandals with a metal flower on top.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the flower can detach which could be a choking hazard.

The recalled sandals have an ankle strap, three bands and a flower on top. The shoes were sold in white and brown in girls' sizes 8.5 through 10 at Stride Rite stores and other retail locations from December 2011 through May 2013 for between $30 and $42.

The CPSC asked consumers to immediately take the recalled sandals away from children and contact Stride Rite to return the shoes and receive a voucher refund to be used at Stride Rite stores or
