COLUMBIA, S.C. (WLTX/AP) - Supporters of gay marriage plan to march in Columbia no matter the outcome of the U.S. Supreme Court's upcoming ruling in two gay marriage cases.
The high court is expected to issue its rulings in the gay marriages cases around 10 a.m. Wednesday, and South Carolina Equality and other gay rights organizations plan to march in downtown Columbia about eight hours later.
According to organizers, the group plans to gather at 1109 Assembly Street from 5-6pm, and at 6pm will march to the Statehouse, and then up Main Street to Columbia City Hall.
They say the march will either be a celebration of affirming gay rights or a protest to call for full equality in the future.
