Lancaster County (WLTX) - State troopers have filed charges against a woman who they say is responsible for a crash that killed two people, including a Columbia man. Sharon King faces two charges of reckless homicide. Troopers say King was the driver in an accident which killed Thomas Hoskins of Columbia and Lee Ann Barry of Charlotte. She made her first appearance in court Thursday. Hoskins and Barry were killed on October 21 in Lancaster County while riding along U.S. 521. The two were riding bicycles as part of the "B.I.G. Ride", an event that raises money and awareness about brain injuries. For 20 years, Hoskins rode for charitable causes including Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis, just to name a few. Barry was one of the organizers of the event. The B.I.G. Ride's website says the ride began in Seattle and was to have ended in Charlotte.
