Kershaw & Fairfield Counties, SC (WLTX) -- Some schools in Kershaw and Fairfield Counties will operate on a delay Monday, because of the continuing concern of ice on roads.
Kershaw County school officials say schools in the North Central area will operate on a one-hour delay. The affected schools are the following: Baron DeKalb Elementary, Bethune Elementary, Midway Elementary, Mt. Pisgah Elementary, North Central Middle, and North Central High.
The delay is for both students and employees.
All other schools in the county will operate normally.
Three and four-year-old students in North Central Elementary schools will attend on the one-hour delay.
Officials from Richard Winn Academy in Winnsboro say the school will be operating on a delay until 10 a.m. Officials there said that they were afraid that ice on the roads would affect some students.
