24 Arrested in Columbia Prostitution Sting

Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police say they have arrested  24 people as part of a drug prostitution sting.

They were made in the Two Notch Road and Millwood Avenue area in the Pinehurst Community.

Some of the suspects are charged with solicitation, while others are charged with interfering with police.

"The Organized Crime/Narcotics Unit (OCN) received numerous tips about the activities that were occurring in the area and with the communities valued assistance Columbia Police were able to make these arrests," said Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter in a written release. "Our successes in any operation such as this one can't be achieved without the partnerships we have with the community and law enforcement."
