Ronald Smith, Orlando Haynes, Jarod Jacques, Brandon Bradley, and Donald Harmon are charged with attempted murder follwing a shooting at a Bojangles in Orangeburg over the weekend.
Orangeburg, SC (WLTX) - Orangeburg deputies have arrested two of the five men they say were involved in a deadly shooting incident outside a Bojangles restaurant last weekend.
Suspects Brandon Bradley and Donald Harmon have turned themselves in and are appearing in court. Deputies are still looking for the three other suspects.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Bojangles and a Shell gas station on 110 Chestnut Street.
"It was inside a parking lot, the business was still open, there were customers coming and going pumping gas. It was a very bad situation," said Orangeburg Sheriff Department Chief Barbara Walters.
Chief Walters says with innocent bystanders all around, five men pulled guns on one another and started shooting.
"I think there was an altercation before, verbal, and it ended in a horrible incident," said Walters.
Walters says the stray bullets hit three innocent victims. Deputies say one of the victims, Samuel Simms of Brooklyn, New York was killed.
"He was visiting Orangeburg and of course anytime anyone is willfully gunned down. It's a horrifying scene to us and it's very upsetting," said Walters.
Ronald Smith, Orlando Haynes, Jarod Jacques, Brandon Bradley, and Donald Harmon are charged with attempted murder. Harmon is also charged with murder. Each of the suspects range from 22-24 years old.
"They know we're looking for them," said Walters.
Walters says the suspects and their families live in the area. She has no doubt it's only a matter of time before they're caught. "They can't out run the long arm of the law. They're in NCIC and we will get them."
