(WLTX) - Summer starts pretty early at the movies and "Iron Man" always makes a solid opener for the season. Should this year be any different? Heck no! You'd think he'd be getting rusty by number three, but this franchise just keeps on shining!

Tony is now sharing his home with Pepper and his cyber-assistant, Jarvis. He's also feeling some after-effects from the alien invasion a few years back. And he's not the least bit happy with his old pal Rhodey's All-American makeover. But those are just minor annoyances.

The biggest problems in his life are an evil genius (who really makes your blood boil) and an almost mythical terrorist. It will take more than just an Iron Man and a patriotic War Machine to take them on. They need an entire unoccupied iron army!

Marvel purists will probably have a lot to say about this particular portrayal of Mandarin. Whatever the case, the differences between the printed page and the silver screen always keep it interesting. And, if it encourages discussion after the film, I'd say they did something right.

I've always enjoyed these movies - but I think everyone felt that part 2 was sub-par. And, while I enjoyed the first, I always thought it got a little more credit than it deserved. This time, however, I think they hit the nail on the head.

It was interesting, funny and, most of all, exciting. I highly encourage everyone to go see it and, yes, stay through the credits for some bonus fun. As expected, Tony Stark will return...but he may never be this good again.
