Columbia, SC (WLTX) - With all eyes on the big game against Georgia, Gamecock fans know a lot is on the line.
"The game day atmosphere, the marching band, the incredible players our great coaching staff," said Carolyn Laffitt.
Saturdays in Columbia is all about tailgating and the Gamecocks and with the Georgia Bulldogs in town it's an important game.
"I tell you what with Clowney on defense Georgia doesn't stand a chance," said Dave Hemmingsen.
Dave and Daniel Hemmingsen spent their time watching the game in the Rooster Cruiser.
"When we come to the game from Florence we have the lights flashing the whole time," said Hemmengsen.
It is safe to say these guys are big gamecock fans. Dave bout an old EMS vehicle and converted it into a tailgate machine.
"We found a picture on the internet of an ambulance that someone converted and we decided to buy one and so we bout it and converted it into a tailgate vehicle."
The vehicle has a flat screen TV, holds their tents and other gear and of course the rooster crows.
"I wish I could suit up and get out there myself," said Charles June.
While other fans like Charles June wishes he could be on the field he says cheering for the gamecocks is the next best thing.
"The tailgating and meeting new people is great. We have bragging rights, we own Georgia."
Carolyn Laffitt says she didn't care what the final score is as long as the Gamecocks win.
"It's going to be Clowney with a chance of pain and then expect a lot of sand storming," said Laffitt.
Fans knew what was at stake, "This is going to be the biggest game for the Gamecocks; we are going to defeat UGA and blow them out," said Matthew McCutchon.
And they are looking for a perfect ending to the season.
