CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Charleston police are investigating the death of a woman who was shot in her home.
The victim was found Sunday night in the bedroom of her home in the city's West Ashley area.
Her name is expected to be released later Monday after an autopsy.
Police said the parents of the 59-year-old woman called police late Sunday afternoon and said they had not heard from her in several days and were worried.
The woman's parents drove to Charleston from Columbia and met police outside the victim's house. Officers went inside and found the woman's body. Police say they think the woman knew her killer.
