Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- The state's board of economic advisors is optimistic about the economy.

The Board of Economic Advisors predicts the state's revenue for each fiscal year.

Robert Martin said Monday that in October, South Carolina saw the largest monthly job gains in more than five years, coming in at roughly 34,500 new jobs; however, half are in temporary or seasonal jobs.

Martin also said that currently the state has the lowest unemployment number in four years.

Housing is on, what Martin calls a "slow rebound". Economics predict that the near economic forecast will remain relatively stable and South Carolina should continue to see constant growth.

The board did add that the looming fiscal cliff does add some uncertainly to the equation.
