Columbia, SC (WLTX)- Starting today Richland District two students can apply for the district's 'choice and magnet' programs.
The process runs through January 31-st and applications will only be accepted online. In March, parents and students will be able to log back into their application to see whether students have been accepted into their program of choice.
The board of trustees recently approved two new Magnet programs. CFK North, on the campus of Muller Road Middle School, will follow the same design as the existing Center for Knowledge program and will open as a K-2 program.
A new STEM Institute of Design and Innovation Magnet program will be offered at Summit Parkway Middle School and open to rising 6th graders.
For interested parents and students... there will be meetings held throughout this month and you can find more information about each school and magnet program on the district's website.
