Clemson, SC (WLTX) -- Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd has announced he plans to return for his senior year with the Tigers.

The Hampton, Virginia native passed for 3,896 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior and was named the ACC's player of the year. He led the team to an 11-2 record, including a Chic-Fil-A Bowl victory over LSU.

During a Wednesday afternoon press conference he started off by saying "I love Clemson. I love college football." He said he feels like Clemson has a lot of things left to accomplish. Boyd told reporters he thinks he can compete in the NFL, but wanted to return to meet goals with the team and continue to develop as a player.

Boyd says the Tigers have gotten better each year that he's been with the teams, and feels like his senior year is set up to become something special.

Boyd says he was hearing that he may have been taken in the late second or forth round if he entered the NFL draft.
