Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies arrested a 14-year-old boy they say is responsible for multiple car break-ins.
Officers say they got a call around 3 a.m. Wednesday of auto-tampering at a location on Longcreek Drive. When they arrived, officers say they found two suspects breaking into a vehicle and leaving in a black Honda Accord.
During a pursuit with officers, the car crashed at T.S. Martin Street and English Avenue.
The 14-year-old juvenile was arrested. A second suspect got away.
Sheriff Leon Lott says his investigators have determined the juvenile has been involved in at least ten car thefts and break-ins. He's charged with two counts of grand larceny, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, and failure to stop for blue lights.
