Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The trial for the man accused of killing two people in the Ascot Subdivision in Irmo is set to begin in May.
The case against Brett Parker is tentatively scheduled to start May 6th in Columbia.
Parker is accused of killing his wife, 44-year-old Tammy Parker, and their friend, 46-year-old Bryan Capnerhurst.
The two were found dead in the Parkers' home last April. Previous Coverage: Bond Denied for Brett Parker
Sheriff Leon Lott said last year that Brett Parker and Capnerhurst were in the gambling business. Prosecutors have said they believe the killings were premeditated.
Parker's attorney has said Capnerhurst killed Tammy Parker, and he said Brett Parker shot his friend in self-defense.
