Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Columbia Police say they found nearly 25 pounds of marijuana in a briefcase during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon on Devine Street. Officers estimate the pot to be worth $40,000.
Police say they also found two pistols and $1,000 in cash.
Narcotics officers made the arrests after a tip about drugs being brought to Columbia on a commercial bus from Atlanta, Georgia.
Officers say 26-year-old Antonie Terrell Parker picked up another man, 27-year-old Roger Rivers, at the Greyhound bus station on Gervais Street and was driving in the 4200 block of Devine Street when officers pulled their car over.
Parker is charged with trafficking marijuana, transporting narcotics in a motor vehicle and possession of a pistol during commission of a violent crime.
