EASLEY, S.C. (AP) - Autopsies are planned on the bodies of a man and woman found shot to death at an Easley motel.
The bodies of 39-year-old Cristy Ingram of Piedmont and 77-year-old Robert McPeak of Iva were found in a room of a motel Saturday. Authorities were called to the motel after the person cleaning the rooms found the bodies.
Pickens County Chief Deputy Sheriff Creed Hashe says the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Hashe says it appears that McPeak shot and killed Ingram and then killed himself.
Autopsies were planned Monday.
Hashe says investigators are trying to determine if the gun found in the room was used to shoot both people.
