Suspect Sought Following Attempted Kidnapping in Columbia

Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- USC Law Enforcement reports that Tuesday morning a man attempted to kidnap a woman.

According to their report, a woman was walking along Pickens Street, at around 10:30AM Tuesday, between Blossom and Greene Streets in Columbia when a man approached her. The man allegedly grabbed her arm from behind and instructed her to come with him, to an unknown location.

The woman apparently broke free of the man, fled the area, and alerted USC Police.

The case is being investigated by the Columbia Police Department.
