Lexington, SC (WLTX) - The Compassion International Mobile Experience is set up to let you see the sights and hear the stories of kids who grew up in the third world.
"They have this beautiful mobile experience, which gives all of our people to see touch taste feel what's really happening overseas," said Todd Carnes, pastor at Radius Church.
The mobile experience allows you to walk the life of three different kids, who grew up in poverty in three different countries.
"Lives are changed. Kids get to see what life is like for kids around the world," said Amy Soden who runs the whole operation.
The mobile experience travels to a different city every weekend. Since this summer, 7,000 kids have been sponsored on their tour.
"It depends on the different products and countries, but it can include as well as uniforms, school fees, education is not free in other countries, as well as the programs they'll be in through the local church," Soden said.
Pastor Carnes says he hopes the experience will help his church catch a vision to impact the world.
"It's really difficult to try and show or cast vision for people about what's really happening in Uganda or Liberia. You can show a few pictures and tell a few stories, but it's hard for people to get their minds around it," Carnes said. "It's going to be something they're not expecting. A pleasant surprise."
