Marshals Arrest Man in D.C., In Orangeburg Attack

Orangeburg, S.C. (WLTX)-- A man suspecting of robbing someone in Orangeburg County 2 months ago has been arrested in Washington D.C.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Calvon Reginald Steven Brown was arrested by U.S. Marshals. Brown is facing armed robbery and weapons charges. Authorities say on October 6th of this year, Brown was armed with a knife when he stole money, a cell phone and an ATM card, from an 18-year old man.

The incident took place on Russell Street in Orangeburg. Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says surveillance cameras near the location captured the attack. Brown then apparently left the area and relocated to Washington, D.C.

Deputies say the victim positively identified Brown from a photo lineup. 

Brown is jailed and scheduled to have a bond hearing today at 2:30 p.m.
