Orlando, FL (WLTX) - USC Head Coach Steve Spurrier likes what's he's seen from his team as they get ready for the Capital One Bowl.
The team's been going through drills in Orlando as they prepare for the Wisconsin Badgers.
"Our team's practiced well," Spurrier said Sunday. "Of course, I just about always think that. I always believe we're going to play well....Hopefully it will give us some returns when the ballgame starts."
Spurrier said the game realizes that this game will be the lasting image of the Gamecocks until next season, so they want to make sure they end on a high note.
"Every game is important for your final record, but this is your last game, so this is the one that fans talk about until we play next August."
The Gamecocks have a chance to win 11 games for the third straight season---this for a program that had one 10 win season in history prior to 2011. They could also top the highest ever final ranking in team history, set last year when they finished 7th.
"We've got a chance possibly to finish [the highest] in school history. But finishing in the top 10 is one of our goals this year, and if we can achieve that's certainly a wonderful season for the Gamecocks."
