Richland County, SC (WLTX) - Richland County deputies are asking for your help to recover a stolen state vehicle.

The car belongs to the South Carolina Department of Probation, Pardon, and Parole. It was taken from Action Transmission Service on Broad River Road sometime between last Friday and Monday.

Sheriff Lott says the car, a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria, has a blue light connected to the passenger side visor, and two blue lights in the rear window of the vehicle.

Lott says if you are stopped by any law enforcement officer at night please pull over when it is safe to do so and in a well lighted area. He says you should ask to see the credentials of any plain clothes officer who may approach your vehicle.

The car has a South Carolina license tag of AZC-731.
